Journal of Humanities and Information Education (JHIE) (Print ISSN: -; Online ISSN: -) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Hong Kong Information Education Publishing Company Limited. JHIE publishes twelve issues each year in English.
Scope and Topics
Journal of Humanities and Information Education (JHIE) is committed to promoting innovative theoretical research, disciplinary integration and practical reform in the fields of humanities education and information education, and to exploring the theoretical systems, teaching methodologies, practical paths and developmental mechanisms of the interdisciplinary discipline integrating humanities and information education. It covers a broad and profound spectrum of research topics, including but not limited to: basic theories of humanities and information education; interdisciplinary integration of humanities literacy and information literacy education; digital reform and innovative practice of humanities teaching; information education theory and curriculum construction; educational big data and intelligent teaching application; digital humanities construction and educational inheritance; information literacy cultivation and competency evaluation for teachers and students; humanities-oriented information teaching design and classroom practice; online and blended teaching reform in humanities disciplines; educational informatization policy and educational ethics research; digital resource development and teaching application in humanities education; lifelong education and humanistic information service construction; intelligent education technology and personalized teaching practice; traditional humanistic culture communication and digital dissemination education; curriculum system optimization of humanities and information education; teacher development and educational talent training in the digital era; educational data mining and teaching effect evaluation; information security and digital literacy ethics in educational scenarios; public humanistic education and social information popularization; as well as disciplinary construction, pedagogical innovation and academic frontier exploration of humanities and information education.
The journal advocates inclusive and interdisciplinary research perspectives, integrates humanistic spirit and information technology education concepts, and adheres to rigorous and standardized international academic standards. It does not set fixed journal sections in advance, and welcomes high-quality original scholarly contributions, empirical research papers and theoretical reviews focusing on the above research themes (without being limited to them). To timely track the latest academic trends, educational reforms and disciplinary developments in the field of humanities and information education, the journal also accepts rolling submissions of authoritative scholar interviews, academic commentary papers and professional book reviews related to the discipline. All submitted manuscripts shall comply with the uniform format and stylistic specifications for formal research articles of the journal.
Open Access Policy
JHIE is a fully open access journal that provides immediate and permanent free access to all published content for all users worldwide without requiring any article processing charges (APCs) or subscription fees. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted sharing, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal publishing rights. We support responsible scholarly sharing by permitting authors to deposit preprints in any repository without embargo and postprints immediately upon publication. This sustainable model maintains the highest standards of peer review and editorial quality while eliminating financial barriers to knowledge dissemination.
